Imereti Tour

The municipality of Chiatura, with its territory, natural resources, tourism and cultural features, if properly promoted, can create an opportunity through which the city will gain additional significance. Economic growth will begin and employment opportunities will appear. In order to develop Chiatura as a tourism brand and improve the service area, we created Imereti Tour, which effectively cooperates with the local private sector. The purpose of the Imereti tour is to present the unique tourism potential of Chiatura, increase the number of tourists in the region and promote local attractions on the international stage. The beauty of nature and the abundance of cultural and historical monuments are the determining factors in the realization of this goal. The city's built airways, amazing karst caves, valleys, ancient temples and forts attract many visitors.

International tourism festival

Imereti Tour is the organizer of the international tourism festival Adventure, which offers a variety of activities to local and foreign people interested in extreme tourism. The international tourism festival includes such types of extreme tourism as via ferrata, rock climbing, Speleo Tourism, sailing, fishing, cycling and others.

Speleological Tourism

Chiatura is distinguished by its natural exoticism, as evidenced by the abundance of karst caves and caves in the area. In order to get a closer look at this exotica, festival participants follow specially designed routes to tourist sites of world significance. Hikes are organized in the direction of the Dzudzuana cave, the Ortvala rock, and the Jruchula cave complex. The remains of a 34,000-year-old thread found in Dzudzuana Cave have completely changed the understanding of primitive people. In 1960, the first and still one of the oldest remains of Neanderthals in Transcaucasia were found in the Jruchula cave.

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata is one of the most interesting and popular adventure tourism events in the world, and Via Ferrata of the village of Sveri, Chiatura municipality, organized with the support of the Georgian Manganese company, is the first not only in Georgia but also in the entire Caucasus. An extreme trail on a rock with a steel rope and iron steps is one of the favorite places for guests visiting Georgia.
