Georgian Manganese is reviving football traditions and is starting a series of friendly games in Chiatura. The first match took place between GM employees and Factory-25 residents.
The main game ended with a score of 3:3, however GM team managed to score one more goal in the additional time, thus, the game ended 4:3.
"For many years, there was a tradition in this special region, where our company organized football matches with the residents, however this hasn't been done in years. This was a very good tradition, which GM is reviving now. Events like this one are necessary to help local youth keep up their healthy lifestyle, which is vital. I would like to note that the stadium which we played at today was renovated by our company and we plan to renovate 4 other exercise spots this year. We actively cooperate with the locals and wish to revive street football and other types of sports with their help," said GM Director Merab Lominadze.
The next game is scheduled to take place in three weeks.
